I stayed late last night to make sure everything was all set for our submittal to the building department. I show up this morning and ease into my work. My boss shows up and by the way, we no longer need one set of 11x17 prints. We need 8 and a set on 24x36. the 24x36 was never set up so all the drawings need scaled to the new sheet size.

“Submittal” is a curse word to me.

I mean, but why are you doing submittal drawings on 11x17?

Do you have anything in writing? There’s a difference between “we require these” and “oh it would be nice if we had these”. Chances are, someone in the Bldg dept wants bigger drawings, or another party has asked them for bigger drawings. I would submit a proposal for rescaling the drawings and also print production costs.

Daily dose of the grind. Happens to me all the time. Whaddya mean we have to know what size we plan to print? Just give us a PDF and we can tell it to scale to the paper size!
